Academic Integrity

Academic integrity is tantamount. Your individual quiz must represent your own work absent the help of other students - either in the room or in another quiz section. All electronics must be stowed and your eyes must not wander to other students quizzes. Conveying information to other students about the content of the quiz violates principles of academic integrity. All instances of academic misconduct will be taken seriously, handled by me personally, and will be coordinated with the Office of Student Conduct.

During the group quiz, you are of course encouraged to collaborate with your teammates (but only your teammates) to answer the questions.

If the proctor sees your eyes wandering, you’ll be reseated at the front of the class.

Individual Quiz

Before the quiz begins

  1. 🧹 Clear your desk of everything except a pen/pencil and your cheat sheet.
  2. 🧢 Remove hats, hoods, and sunglasses.
  3. 📱 All electronic devices (laptop, phone, airbuds, smart watch) should be remain in your bag for the entire class period.
  4. Spread out as much as possible so that you are not too close to each other.
  5. When you get a quiz, cover it with your cheat sheet and do not begin.

During the quiz

  1. 👀 Keep your eyes on your own quiz.
  2. If you need to use the bathroom, bring your quiz and phone to the front of the class.
  3. ⌛If you finish early, please raise your hand and we will collect your quiz.
  4. ❗You must stop writing when time is called or risk a 0.

Group Quiz

Before the quiz begins

  1. Form groups of 2-3 people.
  2. 🧹 Everything except a pen/pencil and your cheat sheet must remain off your desk.
  3. 📱 All electronic devices (laptop, phone, airbuds, smart watch) should be remain in your bag for the entire class period.
  4. When you get a group quiz, write all group members names on it but do not begin.

During the quiz

  1. 🗣️Discuss each of the problems and decide as a group which answer is best.
  2. ⌛If you finish early, please raise your hand and we will collect your quiz.
  3. ❗You must stop writing when time is called or risk a 0.
